Norwegian Wood: Environmentally friendly timber architecture
This week the results of Norway’s largest project on environmentally friendly, future-oriented timber-based architecture will be presented.
Wednesday 12 November professionals from all over Europe arrive in the capital of culture to learn about the project. On the same day an exhibition on the working process behind the different buildings opens: Norwegian Wood Laboratorium.
During a period of almost four years, 14 innovative building projects have been developed.
– Norwegian Wood was one of the projects that made the Stavanger region European Capital of Culture for 2008. We are now proud to see the results of the project, says Mary Miller, director of Stavanger2008.
